News and Updates / Leaf Collection Update 2018
« Last post by Bill Warner on November 04, 2018, 12:15:43 PM »
Now that the leaves have really started to come down, here is an update on the West Lafayette leaf collection schedule for 2018. The city will perform curbside leaf collection in Amberleigh Village during the following times:
  • November 12 - 16
  • December 10 - 14
Be sure to have your leaves raked out to the curb by Monday of the collection week to avoid a missed pickup. For example, if you wait until November 16th to rake your leaves out to the curb, you may have already missed the pickup for that week.

Please see the city website for more information about the leaf collection service.

News and Updates / Fireworks Info
« Last post by Bill Warner on June 26, 2017, 08:39:42 PM »
The 4th of July fireworks season is rapidly approaching.  This message is a reminder that even though it is legal to buy and use fireworks in Indiana there are still some restrictions on where and when you may use them.

Here is a summary of the new rules for using fireworks:

1. Children under 18 years old may only possess or use any kind of fireworks if an adult is present.

2. Fireworks may be used ONLY on the user's private property.

3. Fireworks may ONLY be used during the dates & times set by the city. (See the table below.)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the potential liability involved, fireworks may not be used on any of the common property areas in Amberleigh Village.  This includes the area around the pond, the common areas on Edgerton St., and the common area behind homes on the south side of Onyx St.

So, remember to be safe; respect your neighbors by not using fireworks after 11:00 p.m. (except on the 4th) or on illegal dates; and have a happy 4th of July!

FAQ / Mailbox Replacement/Maintenance
« Last post by Bill Warner on October 31, 2014, 10:39:30 AM »
According to our Covenants, replacement mailboxes must be the same size, style, and color as the original. Maintenance & replacement of the mailbox is the responsibility of each individual homeowner.

As for where to get them, Menards carries them:
http://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/mailboxes-plaques-signs/standard-size-white-premium-aluminum-rural-mailbox/p-1447776-c-10139.htm

So does Amazon, if you prefer to go that route:

I'm sure other local hardware stores would have them as well.  I hope that helps!

News and Updates / Halloween 2014
« Last post by Bill Warner on October 31, 2014, 09:04:01 AM »
The City of West Lafayette does not set specific Trick-or-Treat hours, which means you may go trick-or-treating whenever you would like to go. The Chief of Police "recommends using common sense when going trick-or-treating on the holiday, and always recommends it is best to go from dusk until no later than 9:00 p.m."

Therefore, Amberleigh Village's recommended Trick-or-Treat hours for 2014 are from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Halloween Night, Friday, October 31st.  You can let Trick-or-Treaters know that you are home and waiting for them by leaving your porch lights on.  If you do not want Trick-or-Treaters to come to your door, leave your porch lights off.

If you take pictures of your Trick-or-Treaters and would like to see them posted on the website, please upload your photos to a file sharing site (e.g. Dropbox) and e-mail a link to .

Also, please remember to be especially careful when driving through the neighborhood during this time because kids' costumes often restrict their vision.  For more Halloween safety information, check out these safety tips from the American Red Cross and Underwriters Laboratories Inc.:
